Author Guidelines

Al Amin, published twice a year since 2015, is a bilingual (Indonesian and English) journal, peer-reviewed, and specializes in the Islamic Studies. This journal invites scholars and experts working in all humanities and social sciences disciplines. Articles must be original, research-based, unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals.

All submitted papers are subject to review by editors, editorial boards, and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review. Articles must be written in United Kingdom between approximately 9,000-10,000 words including text, all tables and figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication. All submissions must include a 150-word abstract and 5 keywords. Quotes, passages, and words in local or foreign languages must be translated into United Kingdom. Al-Medina only accepts electronic shipments. Therefore, authors must log in before submitting their articles. Please click here to enter. All notes must appear in the text as a citation. Citations usually only require the author's last name, year of publication, and (sometimes) page number. All cited works must appear in the reference list at the end of the article. In terms of bibliography style, we recommend authors use reference management apps like Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Then, select the American Psychological Association (APA) as the bibliography manual style as below:

For papers that are part of a book, the format should follow the following example:
